This Is Our....
Let me tell you a story. This story is about a school and a Headmaster with a powerful dream. The Headmaster envisioned a world of peace. A world where Yajuu and Humans could live together in harmony. A place where neither side feared the other. This dream was brought forth in the form of a school called Akashibai Academy. It was a place where young Yajuu and Humans could learn and live together without hatred and fear. It was meant to show the world that one Headmaster's dream could become a reality. Things went well, incredibly well actually. The students were happy and both sides had no problems being near each other. The world inside the school was a perfect one, but outside things were changing. Humans all over the world learned of this academy and rose up in rebellion. The sanctuary was attacked by an Anti-Yajuu group calling themselves The Iustus. Most of the students and teachers were killed off in this brutal attack. The powerful dream of the headmaster was crushed. All of the remaining students and teachers scattered leaving the broken academy. The Iustus began making a name for themselves by hunting down groups of Yajuu and slaughtering them outright. It wasn't long before they began gathering followers and their numbers grew. Another group rose up out of the shadows hoping to stop the Humans from their path of destruction. This was The Cruor. Yajuu's finest gathered together in hopes of stopping the humans and putting them back in their place, but their methods weren't exactly the peaceful kind. The Cruor believed the humans needed to be contained or killed off. They were just cattle that had a brief moment of triumph and got drunk off it. Their efforts gathered support from many Yajuu and soon it looked as if the Iustus had met it's match. War brewed and both sides fought it out all over the world. Humans began simply killing Yajuu on sight; and Yajuu enslaved or killed any human they came across. It had become a world full of chaos and it looked as if there was no end.
Years into the Blood War, named as such for the constant bloodshed, another group began quietly building power. They remained in the shadows and out of direct conflict but they were fighting for an old cause, a dream that was thought to be lost. They fought for peace and an end to all the fighting. They fought for they dream of one fallen Headmaster. The Resistance, as they had rightfully dubbed themselves, kept in the shadows rescuing humans from the hold of the Yajuu. Safe zones began popping up all over the world. Safe Zones were places where Humans and Yajuu lived together in peace and without the threat of war. Though their numbers were small, they made a difference in the lives of many. The Blood War raged on for almost a decade before the tides began to turn. Human science was constantly advancing during the war and they could now alter their bodies. They had discovered Augmentation and were using it in all their soldiers. Humanity had discovered a way to push their bodies passed their limits. Soon humans were lining up for the Augmentations, any chance they had to defeat The Cruor they would take. Augmentation began changing the battle field, no more could The Cruor wipe out entire camps of humans overnight. They were forced to change their tactics. The group that was once fighting on full offense now had to switch to defense. This was something that hadn't anticipated and just when they thought things couldn't get any worse, The Iustus made another discovery. There were certain humans that were born with Innate abilities. Some humans could control powers that many of the more powerful Yajuu had mastered. Cryomancy, Pyromancy, and many other abilities began to show in human children across the world. While science couldn't reveal exactly why humans were being born with such abilities, The Iustus took it as a sign. They were evolving to better fight against their enemies. These Innate children were soon placed into camps and taught how to fight at a rather young age so they could be used in the battle field. These new soldiers were proving to be a difficult enemy for the Cruor.
The Blood War began living up to it's name; however it was no longer human blood that was being shed but Yajuu. Years into the war, The Cruor were completely disbanded. Their leaders had realized they were now fighting a losing battle and pulled out but that didn't stop the Iustus. They kept going, killing and enslaving Yajuu across the world. Humans had put themselves on top and were going to make sure the Yajuu knew it. Years after the Blood War Supposedly ended, the humans kept hunting the Yajuu to a point of near extinction. Human numbers had skyrocketed and the Yajuu were barely struggling to hold on. Once The Iustus was certain they had made their point, they let up on their slaughter. Yajuu were now either killed on sight or captured. The ones that were captured were sold into slavery or placed in "Zoo"s were humans could view them. Human cities began flourishing once again around the world as they began rebuilding from the eighty year long war. Deep in the wilderness away from human civilization, the remaining Yajuu built their own little cities. Places where no human could go or even find. These cities had become their sanctuaries. Now I'm sure you are wondering about the Resistance and where they were during the fighting. The Resistance stayed in the shadows of the war recruiting when and where they could, but they had stumbled upon something that would bring the peace they had longed for. That something was a journal written by the Headmaster with a dream. After AA had fallen over one hundred years ago, the Headmaster disappeared and everyone had just assumed she had died during the war. The Headmaster had actually been out in the world searching for something. There is a legend about four beings that were buried beneath earth and could be summoned up in times of war. The Headmaster had been looking for the resting places of each of those beings in hopes of gaining their help to restore the balance between Yajuu and Humans.
The Resistance made it their goal to find each of these beings but they wanted to do so in secret. They weren't quite ready to draw attention to themselves just yet. Though their numbers are small, the believe they can follow the Headmaster's dream and restore peace to the world. While their actions have gone so far unnoticed, The Iustus seem to be running into a problem. The new generation of humans is beginning to ask why they hate Yajuu so much and the answers being fed to them aren't ones they believe. Small groups of human rebels have been popping up and the Iustus can't quite seem to get rid of them fast enough. It won't be long before the humans discover the Resistance and join their efforts. It seems Iustus control isn't as strong as it once was. The Yajuu are in hiding while they wait for their numbers to grow. Will you help the Iustus remain in control? Or do you think these beings the Resistance are after can solve all our problems? The Headmaster's journal might very well be our last hope.
...Last Hope.
