Beginner's Guide to H.A!
First off I would like to say Welcome to Hope's Awakening! We are so glad that you decided or are deciding to join us! This guide will help break down the site and make it easier for you to find everything that you need to get started here at HA. I know things might be a bit confusing but we will break it down step by step for you! In this guide you will find everything you need to know about The Plot, The Rules, The Groups, The Races, and all you need to know about building a Character!
Basic Site Info!
Basic site info is all the information you need to know to get started. This includes reading over the rules, the plot, and any other site information you might need to find. Here at H.A we have the histories and extra information from our previous sites. That information can be found here. This is to help you get better acquainted with the site. Now you don't have to read over this information if you wish to make a character here, this information is just provided as a back story for the site. Alrighty so now that you have learned a little bit about the history of the site, let's move on to what's really important. Now you need to learn about the current state of the site and this can be done through reading the plot. The plot can be found here. It may get updated from time to time depending on how the site progresses. The plot will help you understand what the current state of the site is. Moving on we have the ground work for the site and this comes in the form of the rules. The Rules are very important and should be followed so that everyone has an enjoyable time here at H.A. We also need to make sure the rules get followed so that we don't break proboards terms of service. The rules can be found here. Now that we have all the very basics out of the way we can move on to building your character!
Character Building!
Now that you have read over all the basic information we can move on to the best part, making your character! Here at H.A we require you to create a character and have that character accepted before you can start RPing. Now that sounds like quite a feat but it isn't as scary as it seems. Let's start off with deciding what race you want your character to be. Here at H.A we have over thirty different races for you to chose from. That's right over THIRTY different races! They are all broken down into different categories for you to look at. For example, there are three different types of vampires and four different types of demons you can chose from. All of our races can be found here. We also have different variations of humans for your choosing as well. There are Innate Humans, Augmented Humans, Druids, Witches, and Wizards. For those interested in playing a Witch or a Wizard, you can find more information about how magic works here. Now that I have blown your mind with the sheer amount of choices, you have two more things to decide. Here at H.A you can chose to make a student that goes to Akashibai Academy or you can make a regular civilian. You can go to school or just live your life doing whatever you would like with your character. The last choice you have to make it whether or not you want your character to be a part of one of the two groups on H.A. They can be a member of The Wardens or The Swords of Our Time. Now your character doesn't have to be apart of these groups but they have the option to join if they wish. Okay now that you have a rough idea of what you would like to do for your character, let's get you the app! The character application is located here. I know looking at it seems a little scary but it isn't all that bad. When filling out the application, please keep in mind that your face claim needs to be anime, digital art, or video game only. There are no real people on the site. Speaking of Face Claims, once your character gets accepted don't for get to go and claim you face here. So that way no one else will steal your face. Once your character has been accepted then you are free to RP to your heart's content!
Extras!
That has been a lot of reading so far and don't worry we are almost done! This next section is just to help you find the odds and ends of the site. Here on H.A we have a F.A.Q thread for people to look over if they have any questions. It helps clear up any common questions that come up on the site. This is located here and if you see that your question isn't on there feel free to PM a staff member and we will be happy to answer it for you! On the site we may also have events that you can participate in. This can be anything from a site wide event to just OTMs, but all those can be found here. There is also a Lounge for members to hang out together Out of Character and get to know each other. That can be found here. We also have all you need to help plot and keep track of your threads here. This will help you keep track of your relationships, threads, and plot with other members on the site. Now I think I covered everything here for you to get started on H.A. If you ever have any questions or concerns feel free to contact a staff member and they will be happy to answer them for you.
